Hey hey. So I’ve been on testosterone for three weeks now. I think I’ll let my video do the talking for this week. . . . → Read More: Progress Report – 3 Weeks on Testosterone Hola! Well, I’ve made it two weeks and things are going great. I talk about questions in the video… you can send them to weston@mentalrewire.com Have a . . . → Read More: Progress Report – 2 Weeks on Testosterone I have officially been on testosterone for a whole week! I gave myself my 2nd injection yesterday without a hitch, so I’m pretty much over the stress of having to do it… it’s much easier than I had anticipated. I want to thank those of you who have commented, both here and on Facebook, and sent messages. I never expected to get so much positive feedback and support and it has been wonderful to know I have so many amazing people behind me. It’s still a bit nerve-racking to put all this out there for the world to see, but it does . . . → Read More: Progress Report – 1 Week on Testosterone The time has finally come… I started testosterone today! This marks the beginning of my transition and the beginning of Weston. Yes, as of today, I would like to be called Weston. This also means I would like you all to use male pronouns and refer to me as male from this point on. So without further ado, here is my first video update . . . → Read More: It Has Begun! And You Can Call Me Weston I’m very excited to report that I have an appointment with a doctor to get a prescription for testosterone! This means I could be starting hormones in just 2 weeks. Wow The reason I say, “could be” is because I don’t know if I will have to do a second appointment. From what I understand, a second appt. is really only necessary because they have to wait a few days for blood results, before writing a prescription. But since my appt. isn’t for two weeks, I will be doing my blood work beforehand, so it’s possible I will get my prescription . . . → Read More: I Have An Appointment & I’ve Chosen A Name There seems to be a bit of confusion as to what exactly it means to be transsexual. It is often misunderstood and lumped in with other things that simply aren’t the same. Let’s try to clear this all up, shall we? All of the quotes throughout this article are from True Selves: Understanding Transsexualism–For Families, Friends, Coworkers, and Helping Professionals TRANSGENDER: This term is often used for trans people that choose not to take hormones or surgically alter their bodies, but opt to simply live full-time as the opposite gender. It’s also used as a sort of “umbrella term” to describe anyone with . . . → Read More: Transsexualism: What it Is and Isn’t As I mentioned in my last post, there are a lot of changes approaching. The next big step in my transition is to begin hormone treatment. I have done a lot of thinking, research, and weighing of the pros and cons with regard to this decision. I have talked about it with my therapist, read and watched both medical and anecdotal information on taking testosterone, and carefully evaluated the possible side effects and negative aspects and decided this is right for me. I will start taking testosterone (the cool kids call it “T” …and yes, I’m now one of the cool kids) . . . → Read More: Hormonally Speaking… After much thought and consideration, I have decided to re-purpose this blog pretty dramatically. It will probably still address many of the topics I started this blog with, but the overall context has changed and gotten quite personal. As intimidating as it is to get more personal, I honestly feel like this will help others, as well as myself, much more than before. I have recently come out as being transgender/transsexual… which, in my case, means I have always felt like a male in a female body. I’ve finally come to terms with this, so I have decided to undergo Sexual Reassignment . . . → Read More: Changing Directions Yet Again
I have so many things. I just looked around my room, almost as though I was seeing it like it was someone else’s stuff… and there’s so much of it. Why do I have all these things? How have I convinced myself that I need all of this? Every time I move (which is pretty frequent – 22 times in the last 12 years), I go through my belongings and try to get rid of things I don’t need anymore. Admittedly, the depth at which I go through things varies with each move… there are entire boxes that get a quick 10 second . . . → Read More: Time to Purge. Again. ![]() med•i•tate – verb (used without object) 1 – to engage in thought or contemplation; reflect. Source During my first 7 Days of Self Discipline, I chose to meditate every morning for 10 minutes and for 5 minutes every night. Just that little bit seemed to help a lot, but I guess we can’t say for sure it was just the meditation that was helping, since I was doing so many other things at the same time. I know you’re all checking to ensure I’ve conducted a proper experiment with only one variable. So . . . → Read More: 7 Days of Self-Discipline #02 |
